Your mission
- Conduct comprehensive credit assessments of counterparties involved in trade finance transactions, including buyers, sellers, and financial institutions
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation to evaluate creditworthiness and assess repayment capacity
- Identify and mitigate credit risks associated with trade finance transactions through the use of risk mitigation techniques such as credit insurance, letters of credit, and collateral
- Monitor portfolio exposure and credit limits, and proactively identify potential credit issues or deteriorating credit quality
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including traders, relationship managers, and legal teams, to structure transactions and mitigate credit risks effectively
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred
- Proven 5 years of experience in credit risk analysis, trade finance, preferably in a bank or trading house
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and credit risk assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate credit decisions and recommendations
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in credit analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of trade finance products, credit insurance, and international trade regulations
- English and French proficiency required, any other language an asset
