For one of our clients, a human-sized commodities trading firm operating across multiple countries and asset classes, recognized for the quality of its teams and its agile trading approach, we are recruiting a Financial Controller / Reporting professional to join the Finance department. The role will cover one or more commodities lines in an international, multi-asset environment, working in close partnership with Trading and operational stakeholders to drive performance monitoring, financial steering, and decision support, with tangible individual impact on the company’s economic results.
Your mission:
- Analyze and monitor the financial performance of trading activities (P&L, margins, costs)
- Produce, ensure reliability of, and analyze financial and operational reporting
- Analyze variances and identify key economic drivers
- Monitor and report on forward market positions and hedging transactions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of controlling tools, processes, and KPIs
- Regular interaction with Trading, Origination, and Management teams
Your profile:
- Higher education in finance, management control, or equivalent
- Proven experience in management control and reporting, ideally in commodities trading, energy, or similar environments
- Strong understanding of economic and financial mechanisms related to trading and markets
- Ability to operate in international, multi-asset, multi-currency environments
- Autonomous, rigorous, analytical mindset, with an affinity for human-sized organizations and demanding contexts
