Your mission

  • Identify potential clients and market segments in need of cargo insurance, utilizing market research, industry insights, and networking
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients by presenting the benefits of our cargo insurance services and tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients, insurance brokers, shipping companies, and other industry stakeholders
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings to fine-tune sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge
  • Work closely with internal teams to design and propose tailored cargo insurance solutions that meet clients' unique requirements
  • Lead negotiations, create compelling proposals, and close deals that align with company goals and objectives
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipelines

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar position
  • Proven track record in business development and sales, with a focus on insurance services
  • In-depth knowledge of the cargo insurance industry, policies, and market trends
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), any other languages an asset
