For one of our clients, a well-established agricultural brokerage house with a strong international footprint, we are seeking to recruit in exclusivity a Senior Agricultural Commodities Broker.

Your mission :

• Originate, broker, and execute physical grains & oilseeds flows with a focus on Mediterranean/MENA/EU destinations
• Leverage and expand a strong counterpart network (producers, exporters, importers, crushers, traders, and freight) to source opportunities and place volumes
• Conduct fundamental/technical market analysis: crop progress, freight, basis levels, spreads, FX; produce trade ideas and market color for clients
• Structure and negotiate spot and forward deals (GAFTA/FOSFA), optimize pricing, differentials, and execution terms to maximize value creation
• Coordinate end-to-end execution with operations: contracts, LC/collection terms, inspection, laycan, quality/quantity, and claims management
• Manage price exposure through futures/options and FX hedging in line with risk limits and client mandates
• Monitor and ensure full compliance with sanctions regimes, export controls, KYC/AML, and internal policies
• Prepare P&L and risk/position reports; track margins, credit exposure, and performance metrics
• Travel regularly across the region to maintain close relationships and originate new business

 

Your profile :

• University degree in Business, Economics, Agronomy or related field
• 5–10 years’ experience in physical brokerage/trading of grains & oilseeds (sunflower complex, wheat, corn, barley)
  
• Deep understanding of supply chains, export programs, quality specs, and port logistics 
• Strong grasp of trade finance, incoterms, freight, and documentation (GAFTA/FOSFA)
• Solid risk mindset: pricing, basis, spreads, FX, hedging with futures/options
• Up-to-date awareness of sanctions, compliance, and KYC/AML best practices
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; resilient and hands-on in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and trading/position systems
