For one of our clients active in agricultural commodities, we are seeking to recruit a Grains Trading Operator to be based in Geneva.
Your mission:
- Assist traders in executing trades by closely monitoring markets, price fluctuations, and supply and demand dynamics
- Coordinate with traders to place orders, confirm trades, and ensure accurate documentation
- Oversee the logistical aspects of trades, including coordinating shipping arrangements, documentation to ensure smooth operations
- Administer trade contracts by verifying trade terms, quantities, and pricing
- Develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners
- Act as a point of contact for operational queries, resolve any issues, and maintain effective communication
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position within grains or agricultural commodities
- Strong understanding of commodity markets, including supply chain dynamics, pricing and risk management principles
- Proficient in using trading platforms and systems
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) any other language an asset
- Need to have had an exposure with African markets
