For one of our clients, a newly established Agricultural Products Trading company, we are seeking to recruit a White Sugar Trader to be based in Geneva.
Your mission :
- Develop and execute white sugar trading activities with a strong focus on African markets.
- Identify and capture trading opportunities through market analysis and strong commercial relationships.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of clients and counterparties, working closely with suppliers, buyers, brokers, banks, and logistics partners.
- Negotiate and execute trades, ensuring profitability and smooth operational follow-through.
- Monitor P&L, portfolio exposure, and trading risks in line with internal guidelines.
- Contribute to business development by leveraging an existing network and, ideally, bringing a book of business.
Your profile :
- University degree in Business, Finance, International Trade, Agriculture, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in white sugar trading, with a strong focus on African markets.
- Proven track record in physical sugar trading, from origination to execution.
- Strong knowledge of African trade flows, pricing dynamics, and market participants.
- Well-established industry network and ability to bring a book.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of P&L, market exposure, and trading risk.
- Fluent in English and French mandatory
