For one of our clients, an international commodity trading company, we are seeking an experienced Dry Bulk Freight Trader to be based in Dubai.
Your mission:- Identify and secure trading flows to complement the company’s dry bulk cargo and tonnage.
- Leverage in-house volumes to find arbitrage opportunities and drive profitability.
- Work with the operations team to ensure successful execution and smooth logistics.
- Negotiate freight rates and charter party terms with internal and external stakeholders.
- Use FFAs and external price proposals to determine fair market rates.
- Build and expand relationships with third-party clients, brokers, and vessel owners, focusing on Asian, LATAM and Middle-Eastern markets
- Monitor market trends and collaborate with internal teams to anticipate demand.
Your profile:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a dry bulk freight trader, with strong knowledge of Asian markets.
- Analytical, communicative, and results-oriented.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in trading platforms and market tools.
- Experience in freight operations and an established client network is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in any other language is a plus.
