Key Responsibilities:
Planning: Organize road freight contracts for mineral and metal flows across Africa.Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation, assignment, and monitoring of contracts with local carriers.
Logistics Coordination: Ensure smooth operations for loading, unloading, and transport while meeting deadlines.
Team Management: Lead and coordinate local teams and service providers to ensure flawless execution of contracts.
Performance Tracking: Monitor key logistics KPIs, propose improvements, and drive optimization projects.
Technology Integration: Incorporate digital tools to automate and optimize freight execution processes (ERP, transport management software).
Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with legal, customs, and environmental standards.
Profile:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in logistics and road freight management in the raw materials industry, with specific expertise in mineral and metal flows across Africa.Management Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
Technological Competence: Familiarity with digital solutions for enhancing logistics efficiency.
Languages: Fluency in English and French. Knowledge of local African languages is a plus.
Mobility: Willingness to travel across Africa to supervise on-ground operations.
Passport: European passport mandatory.
