We’re hiring for a dynamic commodity trading firm based in Switzerland.
Your mission:
- Execute trades for buying and selling grains, including wheat, corn, soybeans, etc
- Analyze market trends, supply, and demand factors to identify trading opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and suppliers
- Monitor and manage trading positions and risks
- Stay updated on industry news, market developments, and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with internal teams such as logistics, finance, and operations to ensure smooth execution of trades
- Maintain accurate records of trading activities and financial transactions
- Continuously assess and improve trading strategies to optimize profitability and mitigate risks
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, agriculture, or related field
- Proven 5 years of experience as a grains trader or similar role in the commodities trading industry
- Strong knowledge and exposure with African markets
- Strong knowledge of grain markets, including supply chain dynamics and price factors
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
- Proficiency in trading software and Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of risk management principles
- Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken)
