For one of our clients, we are seeking a Junior Legal Officer with an interest in English Law and maritime law, to join their team in Geneva.
Your mission:
- Provide legal support on laytime and demurrage matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate shipping contracts.
- Assist in resolving contractual disputes within the maritime sector.
- Ensure compliance with English Law and maritime regulations.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate legal documentation.
Your profile:
- English Law qualified (or equivalent), ideally with maritime law knowledge.
- 1 year of experience in a trading company, or a recent graduate with a relevant legal background.
- Strong understanding of laytime, demurrage, and shipping contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other languages are a plus).
- A proactive, detail-oriented team player with strong problem-solving abilities.
