Location: Dubai, UAE | Commodities, Logistics & Trade Finance Ampersand World is recruiting, on behalf of a confidential family office based in Dubai, a Business Assistant to work directly with entrepreneurs and investors involved in acquiring, developing and selling companies. Their activities are linked to the commodities sector, with a focus on logistics, supply chain and trade finance. This opportunity is suited to a recent graduate or junior professional who is interested in commodities and enjoys combining analysis, organisation and project coordination.
Your Responsibilities
- Support entrepreneurs and investors in their day-to-day business activities.
- Monitor ongoing projects, track priorities and follow up on deadlines and action points.
- Conduct market research and analyse companies and business opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external partners and service providers.
- Assist with gathering and organising information for company acquisitions, development projects and disposals.
- Help ensure clear communication and timely follow-up across several businesses.
Your Profile
- Graduate of a leading business or engineering school, ideally with a specialisation in finance, international business, economics or supply chain.
- 0 to 3 years of professional experience; relevant internships will be considered.
- A strong interest in commodities trading and its broader ecosystem, including logistics, supply chain and trade finance.
- Organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities.
- Analytical and comfortable turning information into clear, concise business materials.
- Proactive, curious and eager to learn through direct exposure to entrepreneurs and investors.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working in an international environment.
- Discreet, with sound judgement when handling confidential information.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Based in Dubai or willing to relocate.
