Description
We're currently recruiting a Cargo Insurance Business Developer to be based in Geneva, who will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities for our client, a leading insurance actor.
Your mission
- Identify potential clients and market segments in need of cargo insurance, utilizing market research, industry insights, and networking
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients by presenting the benefits of our cargo insurance services and tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients, insurance brokers, shipping companies, and other industry stakeholders
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings to fine-tune sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge
- Work closely with internal teams to design and propose tailored cargo insurance solutions that meet clients' unique requirements
- Lead negotiations, create compelling proposals, and close deals that align with company goals and objectives
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipelines
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar position
- Proven track record in business development and sales, with a focus on insurance services
- In-depth knowledge of the cargo insurance industry, policies, and market trends
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), any other languages an asset
