Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Madagascar

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a diversified international group, operating in several sectors such as industry, distribution, technology, tourism, real estate, and renewable energy. This growing company is recognized for its commitment to sustainable development and its expansion into international markets. The CFO's experience must be extensive enough to enable the finance department to have a clear vision to support the group's growth.

Missions:

■ Developing and executing the global financial strategy in close collaboration with the CEO and the board of directors.
■ Overseeing financial operations, including accounting, risk management, treasury, taxation, and audits.
■ Defining and monitoring financial performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the group’s profitability and growth.
■ Designing complex financial models to support strategic decisions, including investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
■ Managing relationships with financial institutions, investors, and external stakeholders.
■ Establishing financial governance policies in line with international standards and local regulations.
■ Coordinating financial teams located in several countries, with particular attention to best practices in internal control.
■ Ensuring the development and alignment of financial objectives with local and global priorities.
 

Profile:

■ Degree in finance, accounting, or economics, ideally complemented by an MBA or a Master's in financial management.
■ Proven experience of at least 10 years in a CFO position within an international environment, ideally in a diversified group.
■ Strong skills in treasury management, complex financial structuring, and financial reporting.
■ Natural leadership, with the ability to inspire and lead multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
■ Mastery of IFRS standards and tax regulations in different countries, with knowledge of US GAAP standards.
■ Proficiency in both English and French; basic knowledge of Italian would be appreciated.
■ Experience in managing financial and operational risks on an international scale, particularly in unstable geopolitical contexts.
■ Expertise in driving the digital transformation of financial departments to modernize tools and processes (automation, data analytics, etc.).
■ Experience in fundraising and project financing: must have a proven track record in successful fundraising or large-scale project financing.
■ Excellent communication skills, with a sharp sense of negotiation.
