For one of our clients, who is also the founder of a commodity trading company, we are recruiting a Fundraising Lead to shape and lead the funding strategy of a mission-driven Foundation. This role is about building long-term partnerships that drive ecological, social, and financial sustainability. The Foundation is a mission-led organization developing scalable, long-term finance solutions for nature conservation. Operating under a government mandate, it bridges local implementation and national policy to create inclusive, sustainable models for protecting biodiversity. Trading is evolving, and so are its responsibilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of that shift—transforming capital, networks, and strategy into real-world environmental impact.

Your mission:

As Fundraising Lead, your role will be central to shaping the Foundation’s financial future and ensuring its long-term impact. You'll be responsible for:

• Designing and executing a high-impact fundraising strategy aligned with the Foundation’s mission and growth stage
• Building and managing relationships with donors, foundations, philanthropies, and aligned finance institutions
• Leading the development of funding proposals and materials, with strong narratives that reflect the depth and ambition of the work
• Collaborating with program and communications teams to align funding efforts with on-the-ground progress and long-term vision
• Establishing trust-based, values-aligned partnerships that go beyond transactional fundraising

 

Profile sought:

We’re looking for a thoughtful, entrepreneurial, and impact-driven professional with the ability to operate across diverse sectors.

• Proven experience in fundraising, preferably within conservation, climate, or innovative finance
• Strong networks within the philanthropic and donor ecosystem, especially those engaged in environmental or nature-based initiatives
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives
• Comfort navigating between grassroots impact and high-level donor engagement
• A collaborative mindset, with a deep respect for local leadership and long-term thinking
