For one of our clients, a leading trading house active in metals, we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Coal Trading Operator to be based in the Geneva area.
Your mission
- Execute coal trading transactions, including purchase, sale, and transportation of coal cargoes, in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Coordinate logistics for coal shipments, including vessel scheduling, cargo loading, and delivery arrangements, to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods
- Communicate with suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Monitor market trends, freight rates, and regulatory developments to identify trading opportunities and optimize profitability
- Maintain accurate records of coal transactions, contracts, and shipping documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven 10 years of experience in coal trading, commodity markets, or logistics management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Proficiency in trade execution processes, including contract negotiation, documentation, and risk management
- Knowledge of coal quality specifications, shipping regulations, and Incoterms
- English proficiency required, any other language an asset
