As part of a strategic growth and operational optimization phase, a leading international trading house is looking for a Shipping Operator specialized in grain flows. Based in Paris, this role is pivotal to ensuring smooth maritime executions across global routes, with high volumes and exacting operational standards.

Your mission:
As a key point of coordination, you will manage shipping operations for grain cargoes, liaising closely with trading, finance, logistics and chartering teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing full execution of FOB/CIF/Cost & Freight contracts in line with timelines and contractual obligations
• Coordinating with charterers, captains, port agents, and insurers
• Handling all shipping documentation: B/L, instructions, charter parties, laytime calculations
• Anticipating risks and optimizing costs (demurrage, delays, compliance issues)
• Ensuring seamless communication across internal departments

Profile sought:
We are looking for a structured, agile and detail-oriented professional with deep expertise in grain shipping operations.

• 5 to 10 years of proven experience in shipping operations, ideally in grains or agricultural commodities
• Strong command of professional English (spoken and written)
• Sound knowledge of GAFTA/FOSFA contracts and Incoterms
• Ability to manage stress, anticipate issues, and navigate complex international interfaces
• Highly organized with a sharp eye for detail and a collaborative mindset
