Accountant New  

For one of our clients active in commodity trading, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to be based in Rotterdam.
 

Your mission :

• Prepare and maintain the company's financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Monitor and analyze the company's financial performance, and provide regular financial reports to management
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations
• Stay up-to-date with any changes in laws or regulations that may affect the company
• Manage the company's cash flow, including forecasting future cash needs and monitoring banking transactions
• Prepare and file tax returns, and coordinate with external auditors as needed
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
• Provide support to the trading team as needed, including assisting with contract negotiations
• Ensure accurate invoicing, payment processing and support the teams at a regional level (headquarters)
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, tax authorities, and auditors

 

Your profile :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting in the commodity trading industry
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, DUTCH GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
