Senior in-house Legal Counsel New  

For one of our clients active in trading, we are seeking to recruit a seasoned Senior in-house Legal Counsel.
 

Your mission :

• Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the company's trading business
• Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure the company operates within legal boundaries
• Monitor changes in legislation and provide timely advice to the executive team
• Oversee the negotiation and drafting of a wide range of contracts related to trading and shipping, including supply agreements, distribution agreements, and partnership contracts
• Ensure that contracts are aligned with legal requirements and mitigate potential risks
• Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities
• Implement strategies to mitigate legal risks and protect the company's interests
• Establish and maintain effective corporate governance practices
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance guidelines and policies
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes
• Provide proactive legal advice to support business decisions and initiatives

 

Your profile :

• Law-degree holder or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial law and contract negotiation
• Prior experience in the trading and shipping industry is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements 
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to lead and manage a legal team
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) any other language an asset
